Dorothy Mae Jackson

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and was a member of the Methodist Temple. She married William Jackson on July 21, 1946 in Port Arthur. She was very talented with a needle and thread. She loved to crochet, embroider, sew, cross stitch and do beautiful needlework as well as gardening and traveling.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Raymond, Carl and Robert Finley and a sister, Mary Jackson.

Her survivors include her husband, William Jackson of Port Arthur; a son, Gary M. Jackson and wife Lisa of Baytown; a daughter, Linda Condrey and husband Rick of Port Arthur; 3 brothers, Tillman Finley and wife Rose of Vidor, Everett Finley of Nederland, Glenn Finley and wife Shirley of Lumberton; 2 sisters, Helen Howard and husband Raymond of Groves, Bette Jones and husband Leslie of Orange; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Condrey, Jesse Farias, Jess Farias, Joshua Saenz, Joseph Hasty, Christopher Condrey, Brendan Farias and Keith Jackson.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2011 at Aldersgate Trinity Methodist Church with Rev. Russell Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
