Fred (Fritz) Girolamo, 93, of Groves passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Nederland. Born in Port Arthur on October 6, 1920 to Nicholas and Jennie Girolamo. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired from Gulf Refinery. Fritz is survived by his sisters, Marie Girolamo and Kathryn Leocadi; brother, Joel Girolamo; niece, Arlene Wills and husband Tommy; nephew, Sam Girolamo and wife Debbie; great nieces, Serena Hedrick and husband James, Jennie Wills and Dylan Tompkins; great nephew, Thomas Wills and fiancée Nicole Guidry. Serving as Pallbearers, Tommy Wills, Thomas Wills and Dylan Tompkins. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 2:00pm at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with Fr. J.C. Coon officiating. Rite of Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the auspices of The Patriot Guard Riders-Golden Triangle, Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group, and the Navy Active Duty Honors Team.
