

Hiep Van Nguyen was born May 21, 1960 in Saigon, Vietnam. At the age 60, he passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Hiep was a loving son, brother,husband, father, uncle and friend to many. For those of you that know him, remember him by his contagious humor and outgoing energy. It was that same energy and strength that got him as far as he was in his long fight against cancer. It is hard for us to put in words how much he meant to all of us and the void he will now leave in our hearts.
Hiep leave behind his wife; Oanh Thi Nguyen, son; Gia Huy Nguyen, mother; Vy Thi Nguyen; brother; Hung Van Nguyen & sister in law; Trinh Tuyet Tran, brother; Loi Nguyen & sister in law; Hanh Nguyen, sister; Lisa Nguyen, brother in law; Tai Vo, sister; Lang Thi Nguyen & brother in law; Lanh Nguyen. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Nephews; Thuan Nguyen, Brandon Nguyen & significant other Stephanie Sanchez, niece; Tram Nguyen. Niece Aimy & her husband Joseph Russell; his great nieces and nephew, Kaylin Garcia-Nguyen, Tristan Russell, Madilyn and Maelyn Russell; nephew; Timmy Nguyen, nephew; Steven Nguyen, niece; Christina Nguyen. Niece; Emily Vo, great nephews; Jacob and Jadon Vo; Nephew Kevin Vo & his wife Kathy Nguyen; great nephews; Kenzo & Christan Vo; Niece Jennifer Vo & her fiance Brian Le. Niece Stephanie & her husband Randy Lavarias; great nephew Kyrie Lavarias; niece Jessica Nguyen & her fiance Kevin Chourarth; nephew; Daniel Nguyen.
The family will have open visitation on Friday, January 29th starting at 7am following a private rosary mass beginning at 6pm at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home.
There will be mass on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 9:00AM at The Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church in Port Arthur following burial to Greenlawn Memorial Park 3900 Twin City Hwy, Groves, TX 77619
