Hulin Joseph Hargrave

Hulin was born on August 6, 1935, in Gueydon, Louisiana, to Avila Leleux Hargrave and Eddie Hargrave. He had lived in Port Arthur for fifty-two years before retiring up in Jasper for the past fourteen years. Hulin was a retired painter with the Painters Local #328 and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Jasper.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hebert Hargrave of Jasper, children, Patricia Phillips of Orange, Debra Hargrave of Jasper, Karen Huff of Arizona, Leslie Sawyer of Jasper, Dwayne Hargrave of Port Arthur, David Hargrave of Jasper and Tim Hargrave of Groves; brother, Hubert Hargrave of Groves and Joyce Jackson of Nederland; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A gathering of friends and family will be conducted from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Rosary to be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home. A Chapel service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
