Javier Gonzalez

Javier was born on March 14, 1951, in Cotija Michoacan, Mexico to Rita Flores and Jesus Gonzalez. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur and was a retired welder and construction worker. Javier loved fish and go camping but mostly he loved his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Survivors include his wife, Angelita Medina Gonzalez of Port Arthur, Texas; children, Juan Gonzalez and his wife Patricia Rodriguez , Carlos Gonzalez and his wife, Blanca Morales and Dolores Gonzalez and husband Antonio Recendiz all of Port Arthur, Maribel Gonzalez and husband Gerardo Lucatero of Merced, California, Javier Gonzalez and wife Janet Hernandez of Atwater, California, Veronica Gonzalez and husband Miguel Galarza of Orange and Erica Gonzalez and husband Otoniel Hernandez of Port Acres; sisters, Elena Gonzalez of California and Maria Gonzalez of Mexico; brother, Ricardo Gonzalez of Mexico; twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Christian Vigil to take place at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Additional services and burial will take place later in Mexico. Due to COVID-19 the funeral home and family ask that everyone wear masks and practice “Social Distancing” during the visitation and Vigil Service at the funeral home.
