

Jean LeBlanc was taken to Heaven by her Lord and Savior in her home and surrounded by family on December 14, 2023. She was born in Comanche, TX on March 24, 1938, to Elbert Scott and Gertrude Robertson Scott. Jean was one of 11 children, and they moved to Port Arthur, TX, where she spent the remainder of her life. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1956, where she excelled in tennis and as a member of the Red Hussars, the first all-female drum and bugle corps in the state of Texas. Jean began her career with the City of Port Arthur as a school crossing guard, and she continued working for the City Secretary’s Office and as a clerk at the Port Arthur Municipal Court.
Jean married the love of her life, Harvey Leblanc, on March 8, 1958, not long after he pulled her over in his police car and asked her out on a date. She enjoyed bowling with the Holliday Belles and Blue Angels. She served as a Eucharistic minister, an alter server, and a Campfire leader. She enjoyed an RV tour with her sisters Bettie, Edna, and Faye and her husband Bill Hart.
Survivors include sons, James LeBlanc and his wife Kimberly of Nederland, Texas; David LeBlanc and his wife Debra of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Kimberly Davis and her husband Paul of Sugar Land, Texas; brothers, Charlie Scott and his wife Betty of Arroyo Grande, California; Bill Scott and his wife Mary of Caldwell, Texas; son-in-law, Raymond Walker of Baytown, Texas; nine grandchildren, Christile LeJunie, Blake Walker, Sydney Kirk and her husband Chris, William LeBlanc and his wife Cierra, Stephen LeBlanc, Melissa McLaughlin and her wife Nicole McLaughlin, Kristin LeBlanc and her husband Austen Stewart, Meagan Resendez and her husband Jake, and Erin Davis; four great grandchildren, Savannah McLaughlin, Duncan LeBlanc, Silas Kirk, and Saylor Kirk; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey LeBlanc, parents, Elbert Scott and Gertrude Robertson Scott, daughter Marie LeBlanc Walker, and 8 siblings.
The family will receive friends at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home on Monday December 18 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM with recitation of The Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 Immaculate Conception - St. Peter The Apostle Parish in Groves. Mrs LeBlanc will be interred at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Honored to serve as Mrs. LeBlanc's pallbearers are William LeBlanc, Stephen LeBlanc, Blake Walker, Raymond Walker, Paul Davis and Jake Resendez.
