

Leo J. Lalonde, 70, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 29, 1942 to Leona and Peter E. Lalonde in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a 1960 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and a graduate of Lamar College of Technology. After serving four years in the United States Air Force, Leo worked at Texaco, retiring after 33 years of service in the Instrument Department. He was a member of St. Therese, Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3195 and a member of the Beaumont Power Squadron.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 5:00 p.m. at
Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at St. Therese, Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Acres with Father Rejimon E. George serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Leo is survived by his daughter, Ra’chel Lalonde Landers and husband Don; son, Kristopher; their mother, Debbie Lalonde; his twin brother, Leonard Lalonde and wife Kathryn; brother, Charles Lalonde and wife Connie; sister, Linda Hilton and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Father Reggie, Dr. Chad Hammett and staff, Odyssey Hospice, Peggy Sonnier and Cicley Esquesa for their kindness and support.
