More than 40 years ago, Marciana immigrated to the United States in search of a better life for her family, carrying with her courage, determination, and an unbreakable work ethic.
She was the proud mother of ten children, and her life was defined by sacrifice, perseverance, and devotion to providing for her family. For 30 years, she worked at Plum Nearly Ranch, where she was known for her reliability, strength, and unwavering dedication.
Maricela was a hard-working, strong, and regal woman. Though she was not outwardly affectionate, her children always knew she loved them deeply. Her love was shown through her sacrifices, her constancy, and her tireless commitment to her family’s well-being.
She was a woman of faith who found strength in God throughout her life’s challenges. Her faith carried her through hardship and gave her peace in her later years.
Marciana was preceded in death by her father, Eleno Palomo; her mother, Romona Loera; her husband, Ezequiel Garcia; her son, Leonardo Garcia; her brother, Onesimo Palomo; and her sisters, Carmela Palomo Loera and Elodia Palomo Loera.
She is survived by her son, Jorge Garcia; her daughters, Maria Margarita Abundiz, Dora McCallum, Blanca Rangel, Dolores Nash, Hilda Wise, Maricela David, Edith Valencia, and Maria Vargas; her sisters, Amparo Palomo Loera and Elvira Lopez. She also leaves behind 42 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th St, Port Arthur, Texas, 77642, on January 22, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Celebration of Marciana's Wonderful Life will take place at the same location on January 23, 2026, starting at 10:00 am, followed by a Committal Service..
Marciana Maricela (Palomo) Garcia will be laid to rest at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, 618 Block Street, Port Neches.
