

Margaret Hilliard Leman, 88, of Woodville, Texas passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Woodville Health and Rehab Center. Margaret was born October 26, 1922, in Meridian, Louisiana to Jesse W. and Effie Wooley Hilliard. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 75 years and Woodville for 12 years.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Army Wives Volunteers during WW II, girls softball coach for North End Baptist Church in Port Arthur and served in other multiple roles within her church, First Baptist Woodville.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Durr and husband Ben of Kingwood, TX, Sandra Williams and husband Dan of Conroe, TX, Alberta Nunez and husband Gerald of Longville, LA and Vera Margaret Johnson and husband Ray of Woodville, TX; grandchildren, Benjamin Durr and wife Victoria, Benca Hronas, Bethany McDaris, Jana Harper and husband Lee, Jason Williams and wife Robbyn and Tena Johnson; great grandchildren, Isabella Durr, Natalie Durr, Nicolas Hronas, Matthew McDaris, Davis Harper, Kayla Harper, Jessika Williams, Kyle Williams, Courtney Nunez, Thomas Nunez – U.S.N. E3, Jared Martin and Josh Latham and two great great grandchildren, Tyler Nunez and Jensen Perez.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Albert Charles Leman, Jr.; sisters, Pauline Wahl and Geraldine Newman and grandson, Tim Nunez.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, April 16, 2011, with a chapel service to follow at 2 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
