Maria Irma Ortiz

Maria Irma Ortiz, age 79, of Port Arthur, TX passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 in Port Arthur, TX. A native of Managua Nicaragua, Mrs. Ortiz has been a long time resident od Port Arthur. She worked from home as a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by a son, Miguel Angel Ortiz, Jr and siblings, Margarta Morales and Jorge Morales. Survivors include her husband Miguel Angel Ortiz; children Marlon Ortiz, Janet Araica and Irene Ortiz; brothers, Andres Abelino Morales and Ricardo Morales; sisters, Maria Lourdes Morales, Julia Morales, Josefa Dolores Ortiz, Manuela de la Concepcion Morales. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Lacaria, Faviana, Marlon, Jr, Noel, Heather, Tessa, Yasmin, Vernon, Jeremia, Heidi, Crystal and 16 great grandchildren.

A the family will receive friends at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
