Mary Socorro Ramirez

Austin ,Texas. Ama was greatly loved by her family and was a loving spirit who faithfully served

the Lord. She will be missed greatly, but we will forever be grateful for having her in our lives.

Mary was born on February 21, 1927 in Port Arthur, Texas. She was married to the love of her

life, Albert , for 62 years and together they founded Taco Rey Mexican Restaurant in

Nederland, Texas. Mary worked at Taco Rey until she was 90 years of age.

Mary is survived by her 4 children, daughters Mary Allen of Austin Texas, Toni Devillier of

Groves Texas, Dolores Hamilton and her husband Bill of Austin Texas, one son Abel Ramirez

and his wife Sara of Georgetown Texas, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and one

brother, Raymond Rodriguez from Groves, Texas.

She was preceded in-death by her husband

Albert Ramirez, parents Juan and Apologia Rodriguez, grandson Reagan Allen, son in law

Ronnie Allen, sisters Mela Mendoza, Maggie Collazo and brother Frank Rodriguez.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of

Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur Texas.
