Matthew G. Morvant, age 95, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. Matthew was born February 22, 1927 in Port Arthur, TX. Mr. Morvant was WWII Veteran, Serving in the U.S.Navy. He retired from Texaco as a pipefitter.
Matthew is preceded in death by her daughter Tina Jennings and sons Ricky Jennings and Thomas Jennings. Survivors include children George Morvant, John Morvant, Matthew Morvant Jr, Larry Jennings and Angela (Brian Roy) Jennings and her grandchildren, Lance Freeman and his wife Brittney Freeman, Payton Creel, Michelle Jennings, Michael Kashawn Jennings, Christie Odom, Robin Hines, Georgia Jennings, Shana Jennings and Shane Jennings. She also leaves behind 21 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren.
The Family receive friends on Saturday June 18, 20222 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM with Funeral Services f beginning at 10:00 at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. Mr. Morvant will be laid to rest next to his loving wife of 52 years at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
