

Michael David Coleman, Sr., 47, of The Woodlands and formerly of Port Neches passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at his residence in The Woodlands surrounded by his loving family after a courageous five year battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Michael was born on July 11, 1963, in Beaumont, Texas to Linda Jones Coleman and Ray Coleman. He had lived in Port Neches for ten years and graduated from PN-G High School in 1981. Michael later graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont and then moved to Houston in 1990 and worked as a Real-estate Appraiser and was Vice President/Manager for Bank of America. He loved gardening, cooking, singing and loved watching sports, he loved coaching softball, camping with his family but mostly he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Shelton Coleman of The Woodlands; son, Michael David Coleman, Jr. and his wife Krissy Vogel and their son and his only grandchild, Michael David Coleman, III all of College Station, Texas; daughter, Kristen Coleman of The Woodlands; mother, Linda Keith and her husband Ken of The Woodlands; father, Ray Coleman of The Woodlands; sister, Jill Harvey and her husband Gary of Spring; mother and father-in-law, Leon and Mary Shelton of Groves; aunt, Donna Houseman of Port Neches; brother and sister-in-laws; Marti and Rodney Lynch, Leon and Lauren Shelton and James and Andi Gregory; nieces and nephews, Coleman Harvey, Lucas Shelton, Jacob Lynch, Jordan Lynch, Alyssa Gregory, Noah Gregory and Emily Gregory.
A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Wake Service to be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves with Msgr. Kenneth Greig serving as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Nederland, Texas.
