Olga Vigil Velasquez

Olga Vigil Velasquez, 88, of Fannett passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at her home. She was born on June 4, 1923, in Brackettville, Texas to the late Luciano and Simona Garcia. She has lived in Fannett since 1998 and was a former resident of Port Arthur and Colorado.

Olga was a current member of Calvary Tabernacle in Fannett and a former active member of First United Pentecostal Church in Port Arthur. She dedicated her time to her church and community and served in various ministries including the Bus Ministry and visitation.

A gathering of her family and friends will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Calvary Tabernacle Church in Fannett. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., November 11, 2011, at Calvary Tabernacle Church with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Nederland.

Olga was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Julian Joe Vigil and son Richard E. Vigil.

She is survived by her son, Ruben Vigil of Fannett; daughters, Cindy Austin and her husband John Wayne Austin of Fannett; Yolanda Seaman and her husband Joe Seaman of Buna; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
