

Scotty was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and spent most of his life as owner and captain of shrimp boats Master Bill, Midnight Prowler and Midnight Prowler II.
Scotty enjoyed the ocean and outdoors and was a shrimper by trade, an avid angler, and a naturalist when it came to manual craft labor. He loved to cook and entertain, hunt, fish, and spend quality time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Khang and son, Bradley.
Survivors include his wife, Mi Pham; children, Chris, Khuong, Johnathan, Brandon, and Mia; mother, Ty Thi Tran; brothers, Randy Tran and wife, Thu; and Luc Tran; sisters; Christina Phuong Tran and husband, Steve; Rachel Nga Tran and husband, Tony; Lexi Oanh Van Horn and husband, Elie; Linda Tran Potts and husband, Kevin; Susan Tran and husband, Mike; Annie Tran and husband, Nguyen; and Trang M. Tran; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 30 2014, Thursday, July 31, 2014 and Friday, August 01, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur.
A celebration of life will held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 02, 2014 at Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church, 801 9th Avenue, Port Arthur with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, followed by a luncheon at St. Joseph Hall, 800 9th Avenue, Port Arthur.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Memorial Hermann Heart and Vascular Institute-Texas Medical Center and Harbor Hospice.
