Sybil Margaret Flores

Sybil Margaret Flores, 83, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015. Sybil was born August 28, 1931 in Port Arthur, TX to Ellis and Lula Barbin. She was a fun and lively person, very outgoing, and extremely intelligent. She was constantly inspiring her children and grandchildren to be the best that they could be. Sybil was a very kind and loving person who never met a stranger. She was very creative and loved to shop and go to garage sales.

Sybil is preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Paul Barbin and Lula Mae Ransonette Barbin; and by her daughter, Lettie Fay Allen.

She is survived by her husband, Gustavo Flores; children, Gustavo Flores, Jr. and wife Shannon, Jamie Flores and wife Anna, David Flores and wife Amy, and Angela Laird and husband Mike; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Sybil is also survived by her sister, Barbara Quebedeaux; nieces; Myrtis Miller and husband Earl and Pamela Guillote and husband Walter.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
