Weldon was born on June 26, 1923 in Earth, LA to Edia Richard LeBlanc and Clay D. LeBlanc. He served in the US Army during WWII in Germany. He retired from Gulf Refinery in 1983. He served as an usher and was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur.
Weldon is preceded in death by his wife Vera Eva LeBlanc; parents; sisters, Lorena Scarborough, Betty Jane Fredrick and a brother, L.J. LeBlanc.
He is survived by his three sons, Weldon J. LeBlanc, Jr. and wife Linda, Wilfred Thomas LeBlanc, Dale John LeBlanc and wife Cindy; a sister, Betty Lou LeBlanc of LA; a brother, Jimmy LeBlanc of Groves; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A gathering of his family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel, Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012, in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with military honors.
