

Tony was born in Brooklyn , New York. He worked for many years for Con Edison Energy as a Supervisor. He served in the United States National Guard in his younger years. Tony retired and moved to Florida in 1999 from Lynbrook , New York located on Long Island. He was active with The Knights of Columbus Council #12159. He was always looking for the next project to do around his house along with lending a helping hand to his neighbors and friends. Tony enjoyed carpentry, and was known to have “Hands of Gold”. His neighbors in the South Bend Community referred to him as “The Mayor of South Bend”. He was well known and liked by his community. He enjoyed having fun also. Tony was known to party and dance. He also enjoyed playing cards with his friends and neighbors. Until the death of his beloved pug, Peggy Sue, Tony spent much of his time with her.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Dominick Peri; and wife, Rosetta Peri.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Meyer-Peri; sons, Dominick Peri (Leslie), of Parkland, Florida, Nick Peri (Kim), of Port St. Lucie, and Kevin Meyer (Jennifer), of Lake Worth, Florida; 8 granddaughters; 1 grandson; sister, Kathleen Peri, of Sunny Side Queens, New York; and mother, Mary Peri, of Sunny Side.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday June 14, 2016 from 4-7 pm at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie, Florida 34983 with a Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Tony on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at 1 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.
Tony’s “neighbor” at dialysis for the past several years, David Harris, is raising funds in an attempt to receive a Kidney in his battle with Diabetes.
