Audrey Rauer

AUDREY LARUE RAUER, 89, of Port St. Lucie, FL, died August 29, 2011 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Fl. Born in McKeesport, PA, Audrey was a resident of Florida since 1980, moving from Burlington, VT.

She loved music and sang on the radio in Pittsburgh, PA in her late teens. She was an honorary Cub Scout Mother, and worked at the University of Vermont in the Registrar’s office to help put her daughter thru college. She always knew her daughter’s grades before her daughter, which was always a joke in the family. She had a great sense of humor and we will miss her.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband of over 65 years, Robert B. Rauer.

Survivors include two children, Deborah Hunt and husband Bill of Port St. Lucie, FL; Robert K. Rauer and wife Nancy of Bradenton, FL; two grandchildren, Darren Rauer of Orlando, FL, Kristen Mullen and husband Greg of Windham, NH and two great-grandchildren Madelyn and Caitlin Mullin of Windham, NH.
