Ernest "Gary" Collins

Mr. Collins was born in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida seven years ago coming from Tequesta, Florida. Prior to that he lived in Dallas, Texas.

Before retiring, he worked as a Logistics Manager for Sears Roebuck for 31 years.

He was a graduate of the University of Kansas and served as a Captain in the United States Air Force.

He was an avid boater, tennis player and golfer and was a member of the Cascades Tennis Club and the Cascades Men’s Golf League.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Port St. Lucie, Florida; sons, Stephen Gary Collins and his wife Sue of Dallas, Texas, Scott David Collins and his wife Sarah of Dallas, Texas; step children, Dana Williams and her husband Rob of Ft. Pierce, Florida; David Nardi and his wife Becky of Ft. Pierce, Florida; his grandchildren Ryan, Christopher and Blair Collins, and step grandchildren, Robert and Ryan Williams and Airea Nardi-Williams.

A celebration of Gary’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL.
