

Floyd E Brown, 80, passed away March 7, 2012. He was born in St. Joseph, MO to Frank and Wynona Brown who preceded him in death. Floyd began his career in the Food Brokerage business in Kansas City, Mo. with Stoops & Wilson Brokerage Co. He later moved to Omaha with his wife Rita and son Kevin to open and run a branch office: Stoops, Wilson & Brown. Floyd retired from Brown, Alllendorfer & Dale as President and primary owner of the business. He made the world a better place.
Upon retiring in 1991 they moved to Port St. Lucie. Floyd was an active leader in the St. Lucie community, a member of The Elks Club and he was a member of Saint Lucie Catholic Church where for a time he helped in their Thursday Soup kitchen by cooking. Floyd was a member of the Sandpiper Bay Golf Club. He spent 8 years as president of his area homeowners association. Floyd was the Commissioner of the Over 50 Port St. Lucie American League and Vice President of the Port St. Lucie Over 50 Softball League.
Survivors include Floyd’s wife of 58 years Rita, daughter Cathy and her husband Gary Sykora of Omaha, NE, son Craig and wife Vicki Brown of Omaha/Tampa, son Gary Brown of Stuart, FL, daughter Kristi and husband Barry Burnett of Omaha, son Stu and wife Kim Brown of Omaha, 16 grandchildren, Ashlie, Jeff, Chris, Kara, Kyle, Cody, Paige, Tyler, Alexa, Taryn, Bryce, Brianna, Madison, Trent and Alex and Jessie, 3 great grandchildren, Sykora, Aiden, and Ciara and sister Shirley Klein. Floyd was preceded in death by his son Kevin, great granddaughter Angel Sykora and sister Nancy Brown.
Services: visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, March 11 at Aycock Funeral Home, 1504 SE Floresta Drive in Port St. Lucie, FL, Funeral services will be at 11:00, Monday March 12 at Saint Lucie Catholic Church, 280 Southwest Prima Vista Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL. Graveside services will be in Omaha, NE.
Donations to St. Lucie Catholic Church or The American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
