

Harry was born June 11, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to Chris and Catherine Kienke. He resided in New City, NY for 33 years. He worked for his father at New City Grocery and Deli. He owned Congers Liquor Store for 8 years before he went into partnership with his mother and aunt in the New City Liquor Store. In 1978 he opened the New City Travel Agency and had that until he moved to Florida in 1983. While in New City he was involved with many associations including membership and presidency in Rotary, Lions, the New City Business Association and the Rockland/Westchester Travel Agents Association. He was also actively involved with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was council president for several terms.
Upon moving to Florida, he was employed by Albertson’s. Again he became involved in his community. He was a member of the Sandpiper Bay Resort Golf Club, a member of the PSL Elks Club and a member and president of the Tarpon Bay Homeowners Association.
He was married to Dorothy Roes for 28 years, having one daughter, Sharon Ascher, to whom he was a wonderful and loving father. In May 1981 he married Judy Brown. They were married 7 years. Her children are Linda McMahon and Jamie Brown. In addition he is survived by seven grandchildren, Jackie O’Hara and Craig Ascher, Meaghan, Kelly and Kate McMahon and Lauren and Allie Brown. He also is survived by one great-grandchild, J.J. O’Hara. He was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Kienke.
For the last 22 years he was lucky enough to find love again with his companion, Eleanor Krause.
He was deeply loved and appreciated by all of his family, as well as a tremendous circle of friends and will be terribly missed.
Family will receive friends Friday, March 23, 2012 from 2:00PM-4:00PM, and 6:00PM – 8:00 PM at the Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL. A Service will be Friday, March 23, 2012, 3:30PM, with Pastor Jared Olson of Hope Lutheran officiating.
