

HELEN E. FARLEY HINTZ. Born March 1, 1930 in Farmersville, Califon, NJ, died December 20, 2016 in Port St. Lucie, FL. She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Charlotte Jones Farley of Califon, NJ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Pauline Farley Smith and two brothers, Irving and Leslie Farley.
Helen was Board Secretary of Califon School Board from 1963 to 1969 and North Hunterdon-Voorhees High School District Board of Education from 1969 to 1990. She was a 40 year life member of Califon Ladies Auxiliary from 1948 to 1988; also secretary-treasurer of the Califon PTA and secretary of the Califon Planning Board, and 46 years president of the Farley Reunion.
Mrs. Hintz joined the Saint Lucie River Chapter of the D.A.R. in 1999 and was the secretary for the last five years. She belonged to the Treasure Coast Genealogical Society being secretary and treasurer along the way. She was also a life member of the German American Club of the Treasure Coast.
She leaves behind her husband, Gustav C. Hintz, Retired Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, Chief of Police; daughters Susan Berg (Raymond), Karen Klutsarits, Helen Beth Lautenbach (Roy), VA and a son, Gustav C. Hintz, Jr. (Sharon), Glen Gardner, NJ; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
