

Born in Milburn, NJ, Joan was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for 30 years, moving from New Vernon, NJ. While living in New Jersey, she was a runner up in the Miss America
Pageant for the state of NJ.
Prior to retirement, she was a private duty Certified Nurse’s Assistant, and a Walmart associate.
Ms. Konight was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, William Rosa, Kenneth Konight and Walter K. Dressler, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Barbara Stephenson; great-granddaughter Keyonna Stephenson; and half-brother Ted Conklin, Jr.
Survivors include one son Walter K. Dressler, Jr. of FL; two daughters, Claire Stephenson and husband Jon of NJ, Lori Vernoia of FL; two brothers, Ted L. Conklin of NJ, Robert L. Conklin and wife Ann of FL; three sisters, Arlene Cozzoza of NJ, Iris Bradisse and husband John of OH, Susan Conklin of NJ; and grandchildren, Christine Stephenson, Tiffany Dressler, R.J. Vernoia, Michael Vernoia, Frank Vernoia and Walter K. Dressler, III, “Kurt”, and longtime companion Walter Van Etten.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 12:30PM-1:30PM, with a service following at 1:30PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL.
