Born in Jamaica, Lynval was a resident of Port St. Lucie, FL for 14 years, moving from Allentown, PA.
Prior to retirement, he was a carpenter for the NJ Carpenter Union in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 35 years. Mr. Stimpson also worked for the Parks Department for the City of Port St. Lucie.
Mr. Stimpson was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Port St. Lucie, FL. He was also a member of the Caribbean American Cultural Group of Port St. Lucie, FL.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lorrice Stimpson; three sons, Orvid Stimpson and his wife Maddie, Leonard Stimpson, Anthony Stimpson; three daughters, Lorna Stimpson, Donna Nedd and her husband Harry, Debbie Pringle; and 12 grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 13, 2014, 10AM, with visitation from 9:00AM - 10:00AM at First United Methodist Church in Port St. Lucie, FL, with entombment following at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, Stuart, FL.
