Ollie was born on June 23, 1928 in Riga, Latvia, son of Ivan and Barbara Pose. Upon coming to America, he proudly became a United States citizen, served in the U.S. Army and completed his college education.
He was married to the love of his life, Nan, for 58 years until her death in 2012. They started their life together in New York, raising three daughters and making many wonderful family memories. They decided to spend their retirement years in Florida where they thoroughly enjoyed their new home. They were able to do some travelling and enjoyed boating and cruising with friends.
Ollie is survived by his three daughters, Nancy Baranishyn, Carole Pose and Barbara Pose; eight grandchildren, two great grandsons, sister, Tania and his nieces and nephews, all of whom were loved by him.
Ollie was passionate about his family, his friends and his life. He enjoyed music, travel, languages, working with his hands and was always pleased to share with others and he touched many lives. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many. He will be greatly missed.
Due to the coronavirus, no services will be held in Florida. There will be a service in the late spring or early summer in Connecticut.
