

Roy was the son of Raul and Carmen Cuellar. Roy was born on August 15, 1938, in Malakoff, Texas. He comes from a loving family of 13 children. The family moved from Texas to Indiana in 1942 and in 1948 moved to Fort Wayne. Roy graduated from Central Catholic High School. Roy was a Veteran and served in the Army and was awarded recognition as an expert Sharpshooter. He received an honorable discharge. He was hired by the Dana Corporation and later promoted to an International Sales Engineer which led him to represent Dana all over the world. He was bilingual and therefore able to communicate with all the Latin countries. He would often share stories and the experiences he would encounter during his travels. Roy was a member in the Chicano Charro Club, an equestrian unit that demonstrated the Mexican culture. This unit marched with their horses in the Fort Wayne, Indiana parade as well as other cities with their colorful costumes.
Dana, Roy’s employer, relocated him to Port St. Lucie, Florida. Roy has always been innovative, creative, enthusiastic, and eager to enhance his horizons. He was a devoted fisherman, and he had a passion for photography. Roy enjoyed membership in the Treasure Coast Photography Club which earned him numerous awards of animals and flowers. He joined the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center, a sanctuary for animals, as a volunteer, he spent many hours caring for all kinds of animals that needed tender loving care. Roy had a special love for all kinds of animals, especially wolves. Roy’s volunteerism extended to the Amazon where he donated his time and effort in building a health clinic in a small village. Roy was a devoted son, and he always showed a caring and protective attitude towards his sisters.
He leaves a loving wife, Blanca, a daughter, Dina Cuellar, a son, Stephen Davis, a grandson, Ethan Huff (Whitney)and four great- grandsons. Siblings, Dolores Walmsley, Rosa Gerra, Johnny, (Dawn) Carmen Cuellar, Carolina Gonzales, (Augustine), Lydia Heredia

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 3:00-7:00PM at Aycock Funeral Home 1504 SE Floresta Drive, Port St. Lucie FL 34983. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Lucie Catholic Church 425 SW Irving Street, Port St Lucie FL 34983 with committal service to follow at 1:30PM at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
