Born in Lyndhurst, NJ he also lived in Parsippany, NJ and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida before moving to Port St. Lucie over 30 years ago.
Tom leaves behind his loving wife of 73 years, Grace Accardi nee Lembo; his two sons Thomas Jr; Robert and his wife Lois and his two adoring grandchildren Katie and David. Tom is now reunited with his youngest son, David, who pre-deceased his father.
Also left to mourn his passing is his brother Julius and his family and the family of his brother Frank who passed away just one year ago. Besides his loving relatives and nieces and nephews, his passing will be greatly mourned by the many neighbors and friends who loved this kind and gentle man.
Tom proudly served his country in WWII as a B-17 pilot. Wounded in combat, Tom was proud to be honored with a Flying Cross and a Purple Heart. He also endured the hardship of being a POW after his plane was shot down. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any branch of the Military Order of the Purple Heart as they support our wounded service men and women.
Services and arrangements are through Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, Florida.
