Vernon Ray Marriott, 86, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away May 23, 2018.
Vernon was born in Silvergrove, Kentucky. When he was 17, he enlisted in the US Navy, where he travelled the world. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service. He relocated with his family to New Jersey, where he worked for many years for RCA, General Electric, and Lockheeed Martin, where he retired after 25 dedicated years. Vernon enjoyed fishing, and watching Major League Baseball, cheering and becoming a fan for whatever team happened to be his hometown team. Most important to Vernon was his family that he cared for and cherished the memories that he had with them.
Vernon is survived by his wife of nearly 64 years, Peggy Lou Marriott; son, Jeffery Marriott; grandchildren, Tom Schindler and Jason Marriott; great grand son, Landon Marriott; and brother Elmer Marriott.
