Wayne was born in Bridgeport, CT and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1997 coming from Beals, ME.
He retired from Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT after 35 years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Barbara Whitney of Port St. Lucie, Fl, son, David Whitney, wife Michelle of Ft. Pierce, Fl, daughter, Mary Beth Whitney of Port St. Lucie, FL, sister, Diane Whitney of Shelton, CT and three grandchildren.
