
Born in Providence, RI, William was a resident of Central Florida for 19 years, moving from Miramar, FL.
During WWII and the Korean Conflict, Mr. Jose served in the US Navy.
Prior to retirement, he was a Letter Carrier for the US Post Office in Providence and Cranston, RI for 30 years.
William was of the Baptist faith. He as a member of the American Legion; D.A.V. and National Association of Letter Carriers Branch #15 in Providence, RI
Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn Jones of Sebring, FL; step-children, Linda Carr of Johnston, RI, Paul Preziuso of Port St. Lucie, FL, Alfred Preziuso of Lehigh Acres, FL; step-grandchildren; step great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Anita M. Jose, one brother, Eli Jose, and sister, Helena Roffey.
A Visitation will be Monday, January 30, 2012, from 10AM- 11AM at Winfield-Anderson Funeral Home, Greenville, RI, with a service following at 11AM. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Johnston, RI. under the direction of Winfield-Anderson Funeral Home, Greenville, RI
Memorial contributions may be made to the Doberman Rescue League, Lake Placid, FL 33307; or the North Scituate Baptist Church in RI.
