William Lawrence Treu, Sr.

TREU, WILLIAM “BILL” L., SR., 87, died August 14, 2010. He was a native of New York City, NY and a resident of Ft. Pierce, FL since January, 1961. He served in the US Army Air Force during WWII and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Bill was a member of St. Mark’s Parish, and a life member of the American Legion Post #40. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He lovingly sponsored a child thru the Christian Children’s Fund. He retired as an Insurance Agent. Bill was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marian Treu of Port St Lucie, FL, two daughters, Barbara Gonnelli of Boca Raton, FL, Jane (Allen) Lee of Deltona, FL; son, William (Denise) Treu Jr. of Port St Lucie, FL; brother, Joseph S. Treu, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, IA; 8 grandchildren, Nicole, William Paul, Allen, Jr., Danielle, Ryan, Amanda, Erica, Matthew, William, III and two great grandchildren, Briana and Sophia.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday August 17th from 5-8 PM at Aycock Funeral Home, Port St Lucie, with a Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday August 18th, at 10 AM at St Mark’s Catholic Church in Ft Pierce, FL.
