

Falmouth, ME - Anita “June” Walker, 81, wife of the late Clinton R. Walker, passed peacefully in the presence of her loving family on July 14, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Arthur & Greta Sanson and was born in Portland, ME on August 14, 1932.
June was a longtime employee of Fairchild SemiConductors and in retirement was a hostess for Keeley the Caterers and the Italian American Heritage Club. As a charter member of Poland Spring Country Club, she had a great passion for golf and many friends who shared that interest. She was a talented dancer and flower gardener.
Surviving June are her daughter, Judith Lamoureux, and husband, Philip, of Falmouth, ME; her son, Dr. John Gallagher and wife, Lisa, of Portland, ME; step-daughters Sonia Johnson and husband, Marc, of Murfreesboro, TN; Sylvia Dillow and husband, James, of Kingman, AZ; Cathy Tozier and Cindy Rose, both of Smithfield, ME. Also surviving June is her sister and best friend, Carolyn Barter, and her husband, Richard, of Gray, ME. Additionally, ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grand children, two nieces and four nephews will dearly miss June’s presence in their lives.
A Memorial Service is being held to celebrate June’s life at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Falmouth Baptist Church, 18 Mountain Road, Falmouth, ME. A luncheon will be shared in June’s honor directly following the service at the church.
