Born in Lewiston on March 20, 1944, he spent his early years in the community he always called home.
Donald married the love of his life, Rejeanne Nadeau, and together they shared over 60 wonderful years together, building a life centered on love, family, and hard work.
At just 15 years old, Donald began working alongside his father, Joseph Nadeau, at Nadeau’s Garage, which had been family-owned since 1942. In 1978, he proudly took over the business and continued to serve the community until his retirement in 2004.
He was a faithful member of St. Philip's Church and the Knights of Columbus. An avid outdoorsman, Donald loved hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling—passions he carried throughout his life.
Donald was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Francoise (Fortin) Nadeau; his sister Constance Nadeau; his brother Laurier Nadeau; and his stepdaughter Brenda Adams.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Rejeanne Nadeau; his daughter Carleen Plourde and her husband Paul; his daughters from a previous marriage, Linda Langford and Diane D Scott; and his sisters, Joanne Nadeau and Charline Blais. He is also lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Donald’s wishes, there will be no formal services or viewing. Instead, the family asks that his memory be honored by sharing stories, remembering his legacy, and celebrating the humor and warmth that made him unforgettable.
