

Jim was born in Long Island, NY on April 10, 1956 a son of the late Carolyn (Greco) McQuillan and James and Diane McQuillan of Long Island, NY. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey.
Jim spent thirty four years as a supervisor for JSUMC; after leaving there he became the groundskeeper for Wolfe’s Neck Farm and worked as an associate for Tractor Supply.
He enjoyed fishing and loved the outdoors; He also had a quick wit about him and was instantly liked by anyone who met him. He was an avid collector and revealed in spending time with his three dogs.
Besides his loving wife Terry, he is survived by his children, Travis Sherman, Jesse Sherman and Rebecca Sherman and a grandson. He is also survived by his siblings John McQuillan, Donna Ertle and her husband Don and Debbie Sherman as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Tommy Sherman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Parish Congregational Church, 442 Hallowell Road, Pownal.
