

Kathy was born on October 30th, 1967 in Arlington, Massachusetts. Kathy graduated from South Portland High School, Class of 1986. Following graduation, she stayed local in southern Maine and married Craig Pooler of Scarborough in 1991, they settled in Old Orchard Beach and celebrated 30 years of marriage this year. In 1993, Kathy and Craig welcomed their beloved son, Brandon James Pooler.
Kathy was a loving and devoted wife and mother who dedicated her time to making sure both Craig and Brandon stayed out of trouble. Kathy enjoyed spending her weekends playing bingo with her long-time friend Nancy Mater and Nancy’s daughter, Misty Riley, and especially enjoyed their girls’ trips at Foxwoods Casino. Kathy loved all things ocean and some of her best times were on the beach with the Riley girls. She was also a lover of designer purses, gold jewelry and authentic Italian food. The light Kathy brought to any room she walked into as well as her generosity toward others will always be remembered by her family and friends.
Kathy leaves behind her adoring husband, Craig Pooler, son, Brandon Pooler and his fiancée Alexandra Laggis. Kathy is survived by her mother, Barbara Mackey and her siblings, Jackie Marena and Robert Marena as well as her mother-in-law, Gloria Heatley. Kathy was predeceased by her father, John Marena, beloved grandmother, Francis “NeeNee” Farwell and aunt, Kathleen MacDonald. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews and relatives. Kathy will be deeply missed by her co-workers at RepubliCash in Southern Maine. Her love and generosity towards her family and those close to her will be missed beyond measure.
A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at a later date.
