Pamela Jean (Sawyer) Costa

Berwick- Pamela Jean Costa passed away on September 7th, 2013 at the home of her sister surrounded by family. The daughter of Donald Sawyer and the late Nancy (Borgal) Sawyer, Pam was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on September 9th, 1955.   

Pam graduated from Melrose High School in 1973. After graduation she pursued a career with O’Neal Insurance Agency before taking time off to raise her family in North Andover, MA. She eventually returned to work as a customer service rep and office manager for Testa Insurance.

Pam was a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother & friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family whenever possible & weekends at the lake with close friends and relatives. Pam was a social butterfly and had a passion for shopping and decorating. 

She is survived by her son Jeffrey & wife Courtney & their daughter Avery of Epping, NH; her father Donald Sawyer of Berwick, ME; a brother, Ronald Sawyer & wife Paula of Ipswich, MA; two sisters, Lisa Martel & husband Donald of Berwick, ME; and Debra Vars & significant other Tom of East Kingston, NH; a niece, Julie Morris & husband Jim of Eliot, ME; two nephews, Kevin Martel & fiance Vicky of Berwick, ME; and Hunter Vars of East Kingston, NH; and her longtime partner Joseph Cordella and his children Seana and Joey. Pam is predeceased by her mother, Nancy Sawyer. 

Pamela’s family will be hosting a celebration of her life on Wednesday, September 18th at the Seaglass Restaurant in Salisbury, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to support.themmrf.org/goto/pamelacosta
