Randall was born on September 10th, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the son of Harold and Elnora New.
Randy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed listening to his extensive music collection, cooking, and golfing in his free time. He retired from the Portland Public School Department in 2017.
Randall was predeceased by his wife Catherine L. New (nee Williams).
He is survived by his son Tristen R. New, daughter in-law Allison New, grandson Samuel New, his sister in law and her husband Teri and Richard Champagne, their children and families, and his mother in law Patricia Williams. He is also survived by his three older brothers Harry, David, Richard, their wives, as well as his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a date yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers and cards the family is requesting donations be made to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland, as Randy was a great supporter of animals and their welfare.
