Scarborough, ME - Richard Cleaves, at 63 years old, has sadly passed away at his home on 3/5/2022, after a long fight with cancer. His wife Ruby Cleaves of Scarborough, Maine, will sadly miss his terrific unwavering positive attitude and sense of humor.
Richard was born in Portland, Maine to Clyde and Joan Cleaves where he attended the Portland School District. Richard was employed at Nissans Bakery for 30 Years and then with Kellogg’s Distribution Center for 10 years.
Richard’s hobbies included Fishing, Bowling, and Golfing with his good friends. Richard also enjoyed his 2 Boston Terriers Buster and Lily and was a responsible, and dedicated husband to his wife Ruby.
Besides his wife Ruby, he is survived by his sisters Cynthia Girardan of Brunswick, ME, and Diane Thorne of Cumberland, ME. Richard also has many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Richards Life will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM which will be hosted by Jonny and Debbie Colcord at 41 Marlborough Road, Portland Maine. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
