Auburn, ME - Sandi Brown-Eustis, 75, passed away at Clover Manor in Auburn, Maine on October 11, 2022 after a long illness. Sandi was born on December 22, 1946 in Newport, R.I. to Rose Vendittelli and Coleman Brown.
She graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island in 1982 with a degree in Computer Programming. She also took courses at Brown University and Providence College. While working at the Rochambeau (Hope Street) branch of the Providence Public library she met her future husband Scott. They were married on August 15, 1981 at Central Congregational Church. She worked at American Universal Insurance Company and Bank of America.
In 1992 they moved to Lewiston, Maine with their mother-in-law Rose and bought a home there. In 1994 Sandi accepted a position as head librarian at the Mechanic Falls Public library where she worked until retiring in 2014.
Sandi was a voracious reader. She frequented many bookstores in the state as she and Scott traveled throughout Maine and amassed an impressive collection of antique books.
