

North Yarmouth, ME – William F. “Bill” Espeaignette, 72, of North Yarmouth, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. He was the husband of Carol L. (Batchelder) Espeaignette.
Bill was the oldest of six children, born on September 24, 1942 in Brunswick, ME a son of the late Frederick W. & Edith M. (Foss) Espeaignette. He served his country in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
He worked in the building trade’s field and served as a project manager ending his career at M.R. Brewer in 2009.
Bill loved attending family get togethers, hunting, fishing, building bird houses and gardening, as well as trips to camp in Bethel with both sons and close family friends; he most treasured spending time with his granddaughters. Bill was also a member of the Casco Bay Lodge #36 and Am Vets Robert W, Boyd, Post II.
Besides his wife of 50 years, Bill is survived by his sons Michael of North Yarmouth, Mark and his wife Michelle of New Gloucester, brothers George and his wife Astrid (Lou) of New Gloucester, Augustus and his wife Bette Jean of Naples and Joseph of Windham. He also leaves sisters Helen Steeves and her husband Ralph of Presque Isle and Brenda Espeaignette and her partner Ken Burnham of Bridgton as well as his mother in law Verna Batchelder, brother in law Charles “Butch” Batchelder both of Freeport, seven granddaughters Riley, Haley, Amber, Sierra, Heather, Kristen and Alexis, special friend Karen Luce of Windham and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the visiting nurses and aides of the Hospice of Southern Maine.
Burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery, North Yarmouth, ME will be held at a later date.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the North Yarmouth Congregational Church, 3 Gray Road, North Yarmouth. In case of inclement weather, please contact North Yarmouth Congregational Church at 829.3644.
