William J. McCormick Sr.

He was born on September 5, 1935 in Portland, a son of the late John W. & Lillian McCormick. He was raised in Portland and attended Portland Schools. Bill spent thirty two years working at the University of Maine, Gorham Campus, retiring in 2002 as the Custodial Supervisor.

He is survived by his son William J. McCormick Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Standish and his two daughters Deborah Ann McCormick of Westbrook and Tammy McCormick of Parsonsfield. He also leaves four grandchildren William III, Christopher and his wife Crystal, Olivia and Adam and five great grandchildren as well as two sisters Patricia and Beatrice and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. A private burial will take place at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland, ME.
