Ann grew up in the mountains of North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education. A lifelong educator, she dedicated her career to teaching and made a lasting impact on the lives of many students and colleagues.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Parks; her son-in-law, Stephen Parks; and her granddaughter, Katelyn Parks, who brought her tremendous joy.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Saving Grace Rescue or Second Chance Pets, both of which were causes close to Ann's heart and are greatly appreciated.
