

Anne Bodenheimer Freeman, 71, of Raleigh, died January 11, 2010 at Rex Healthcare, Raleigh. Anne was born July 26, 1938 in Lumber Bridge, NC to Edward Charles and Doris Anne Myers Bodenheimer. She was a member of Saint Timothy Episcopal Church and a math teacher at Hale High School for 23 years in Raleigh. She was our mother, our nana, our confidant and a respected teacher to all. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Edward Charles Bodenheimer, Jr. Anne is survived by her son, Ben Freeman and his wife, Megan of Cary; daughter, Doris Matal and her husband, Vince of Raleigh; and six grandchildren, James Bennett Freeman; Thomas Edward Freeman; Alexander Powell Freeman; Megan Elizabeth Matal; Sally Anne Matal; and Madison Heaton Matal. A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Saint Timothy Episcopal Church, 4523 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13th at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
