

Anthony “Tony” Joseph MInori, 49, of Raleigh NC, passed away on August 21, 2014 following a brave battle with Moyamoya, a rare brain disease. He was born December 4, 1964, to Daniel and Marie Minori in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Tony graduated from Trinity High School in 1982 and Shippensburg University in 1987. He worked for Wake Med Health and Hospitals for 18 years. He was very active in many volunteer organizations including: Pop Warner Little Scholars Football and Spirit, Girl Scouts, Knights of Columbus, and the Raleigh Moose Lodge #1318. Tony was a proud brother of the Shippensburg University Lamda Chi Alpha chapter. As an avid sports lover, he enjoyed his time as the statistician for the Knightdale High School football team and as a member of the Wilmar Golf Club league.
Tony is survived by the love of his life, Joanne Minori; his three beautiful daughters, Meg, Allie and Nicki; his mother, Marie Colleen Minori; brother-in-law, Rick Sick; sister, Debbye and Dwight Utz; sister, Tia and Rick St. Pierre; brother, Tom and Dawn Minori; sister, Cindi and John Walker; sister, Brenda and Scott Miller; brother, Tim and Carla Minori; 11 nieces, 20 nephews and 14 great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Oreo. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel J. Minori and sister, Corrine L. Sick.
In a true celebration of his life, Tony’s family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2014, from 5:00-8:00pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh, NC 27609. A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held Friday, August 29, 2014, at 11:00am at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Tony Minori Memorial Scholarship Fund, Pop Warner Mid-South Region, 5812 Dean Ave, Raleigh, NC 27616.
