

Ashley is survived by her brother and best friend, Alan D. Moore of Wake Forest, NC, loving extended family and many friends.
As a young child, Ashley developed a love for the ocean and especially summer camps which taught her the enjoyment of sailing. Many wonderful family memories were made at the coast. With a passion for music, she was in the Rocky Mount High School Marching Band for four years. Ashley often reminisced about her memorable moments in the high school band during this special time in her life, such as marching in the Tournament of Roses parade.
Continuing her education at Elon University, Class of 1992, Ashley majored in History and minored in Religion. She was a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity, a vibrant values-based women’s organization whose purpose was founded in principles of love, honor, and truth.
While learning from her mother and helping her prepare delicious and gourmet meals, Ashley shared a love of the culinary arts. She continued this tradition with her friends and family for their enjoyment.
Known for her curious mind and love of lifelong learning, Ashley was well versed in a wide variety of topics of academic, philosophical, and social issues. She and her father shared this special gift of enjoying a thought provoking conversation with anyone.
Ashley enjoyed traveling both locally and internationally. She loved experiencing other cultures and visiting new places. Family and friends enjoyed hearing her stories of travel.
Ashley’s career consisted of management opportunities to train and mentor others. She had a unique ability to connect with people on a personal and caring level.
A visitation for Ashley will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2024 from 4-6pm at Brown Wynne Funeral home located at 1701 East Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609. A celebration of of life will be held at a later date.
