Claude Melvin Hurlocker

Claude Hurlocker passed away in his home at the age of 85. He was an retired Engineer from ITT/Alcatel.

A loving husband and father, a servant at St. James Methodist Church and a sports car and technology enthusiast.

The son of Charlie and Nora Hurlocker, Claude grew up in Mt Pleasant NC and attended Mount Pleasant High School, where he met his future wife Joann Tucker. They later moved to Raleigh where they had two children, Alan and Cathy.

Claude was awarded 8 patents during his tenure at ITT/Alcatel and was widely respected and loved by his coworkers there.

Claude was preceded in death by his wife Joann, his son Alan, and his daughter in-law Pam. He is survived by his daughter Cathy and her husband Chris and three grandchildren: Rebecca, Andrew and Grace.

Services for Claude will be held at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest on Wednesday Nov 5, 2025 with a visitation at 12 p.m., funeral service at 1 p.m. followed by burial.

Flowers may be sent to Brown Wynne Funeral Home at 1701 E Millbrook Rd in Raleigh.
