Doyle served in the Army in Korea, was a University of Kentucky Alumni and a proud KY Colonel, retired as a quarter centurion from IBM, was a Mason and longtime member/former deacon at Millbrook Baptist Church, and was quite the golfer and card player in his day.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn and sister Betty and is survived by his daughter Janata Sims of Raleigh and his son and daughter-in-law Marq and Victoria Sims of Hilo, Hawaii.
Funeral services will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd., Raleigh at 2pm Friday, October 7th, 2016, officiated by Reverend Andrea Dellinger Jones. Entombment in Raleigh Memorial park.
