Eddis Turner Jones

Eddis grew up in Niantic, Connecticut and lived in Raleigh for the last 50 years. She was a member of the Damascus Congregational Christian Church of which her husband was a former minister. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker, and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.

Mrs Jones was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Captain Robert “Q” Jones, CHC, retired US Navy and grandson Thomas Pollard. She is survived by her 4 children; Robert “Q” Jones Jr (Vickie) of Danville VA, Pam Anthony of Burgaw, NC; Jay Jones (Liz) of Apex, NC; and Heather Jackson (John) of Carthage, NC. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Rob Jones(Ashley), Abigail Gipe (Matt), Austin Jay Jones (Stephanie), Mathew Jackson, all of Charlotte, NC and her numerous great grandchildren.

The family wants to thank her caregivers from Griswold Home Care and the dedicated staff at UNC Rex Hospital for their excellent and compassionate care.
