Dear Thomason Family, 

I met Mr. Thomason when I came on staff at NRCA. I was honored to hear from him about his love for Jesus and Christian Education. Every time I heard him talk to the staff I was touched by his heart for NRCA as well as care for the staff.  When I would see him in the halls he always had a kind word and a smile. He will be missed around NRCA. I will be praying for your family during this time.

What a tremendous legacy your husband and father left behind. He was such a blessing to us personally every time that we saw him. In his life he was always a living sacrifice and testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!  (NRCA)

Kathleen and Family,
We were very saddened to learn of Ed's passing.  He was a wonderful person and follower of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I remember his words at our last High School Reunion and was moved to tears.  He is in the presence of God now and in no more pain.  You, Crystal, Jason & Wayne will be in our thoughts and prayers now and in the days ahead.

One of the greatest influences in my life has been my father. I've watched him live his life and set the example of daily prayer and devotions.  The second greatest influence in my life was and will always be Dad Thomason.  We shared many things and he helped to put into perspective the awesome responsibility and privilege I have to serve my Lord and Saviour.  When I was asked to serve as a deacon, I sought his counsel. I really didn't know if I was ready for that role. Church leadership is not about leading, he said, it is about a willingness to serve.  Serving Christ; serving others; serving wherever and whenever you are needed in whatever way is practical.  Thanks for being my example, thanks for being my friend, thanks for being my "DAD".  I love you.......I'll miss you.

I am so grateful for the life of Mr. Thomason.  He did so much for the faculty, staff and students at NRCA.  His legacy lives on not only in the policies he helped put in place at the school, but in his testimony that was an inspiration to all of us.

Crystal, we are so sorry for your loss and on behalf of the entire CTU staff we would like to extend our hearts to you and your  family. We know how special your father was to you and we thank you for sharing stories of this special man with us.  We love you so much!!! Love your CTU family

We are currently in Florida and will be for another week but our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ed was a true friend to Paul and I.  He was engaged in helping Christian Educators plan for retirement.  He will be sorely missed.

Jason, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!  He was a remarkable man of God!

Wade and I want you all to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.  We prayed for Ed throughout his illness.  He was such a great inspiration to all who knew him by his faith in and love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  His testimony will live on, especially in his family.  He loved you, Kat, so much as well as his children and precious grandchildren.  He showed the love of Jesus on his countenance all the time and he will be greatly missed.

Ed truely was a mighty man of God. He was a perfect example of 2 Timothy 4:7-8 "He fought a good fight, he finished his course, he kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for Ed a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give to Ed at that day and not to him only but unto all them also that love his appearing." What a wonderful day it will be when we see Ed again at the glorious appearing of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!! It was always such a blessing to be in Ed's presence. Dear Kathleen and Family, while we rejoice in Brother Ed's Home Going, we do, nonetheless, share in your great sense of earthly loss.  As we knew him, brother Ed was a giant in many ways; as a lover of and worker for the Lord; as a friend to education; as Board member of the schools he served and as one in whose word you could trust and rely upon.  We shall cherish every memory we have of him.  May God bless you all.

Ed will always be remembered for his loving service to NRCA and his testimony to God's faithfulness.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord" is a great description of a family man, friend, Kingdom educator, and lover of God.  He loved Jesus, his family, his friends, and those in this world who need Jesus.  I was honored and privileged to call him friend and for him to call me friend.  Heaven is sweeter to him today and he is making Heaven a little sweeter.  We love you with all our hearts.

Ed will be greatly missed.  His testimony through his illnesses never wavered; never once did we hear "Why Me?" God Bless.

Ed was a dear brother whom I respected greatly.  He could ski a mean Cupp Run at Snowshoe and nobody on the Board at NRCA was a greater champion for the teachers and administration than Brother Ed.  He was a man's man with a tender warrior's heart for God that everybody knew and loved.  And when he got started...you had to listen.

Ed's family, please know that his love for God was evident to all the students who had the privilege of having him along on school trips and events. Our two daughters have special memories of the genuine 'friend' that they knew of Mr. Thomason. We, as teachers at NRCA, have had the benefit of his caring and support, and leadership on the Board of Governors, but most we all will miss his smile and encouragement. Ed left an incredible legacy. Uncle Eddie I will miss your random visits. In the short time we spent together made such an impact on my life.  You loved The Lord with all your heart, and that was such an encouragment.  I know that we will meet again one glorious day.  You will be missed always. I love you Uncle Eddie!
